The Yamaha MT 01 is a revolutionary first in the Indian Markets. Taking cue from the Government's recent announcement of allowing imports of bikes over 800 cc, Yamaha India has launched the MT 01 that is powered by the phenomenal 1670 cc engine that is capable of delivering a thundering torque of around 150.3 Nm at 3750 rpm.

The engine is mounted on a sturdy CF die cast technology frame along with a R1 style truss swing arm. The CF frame easily supports the heavy engine and makes it easy for the rider to manoeuvre the bike effortlessly.

At idling speeds, the engine produces some vibration, but it starts performing excellently once accelerated. Despite the massive engine power, the clutch is very smooth and changing gears is extremely simple.

The bike also has very good aesthetic looks. The speedometer is digital. The bike also has a 3D effect analogue tachometer and illuminated instrument panel. Initially, the motorbike has been launched in New Delhi, Chennai, Bangalore and Ahmedabad.
