Rolls Royce Ghost

Rolls Royce Ghost is likely to be launched in India at the end of this year. It is a new global model from the company. According to Colin Kelly, the Regional Director, Asia Pacific, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars, the car will be formally exhibited at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September. The car will be showcased at the company’s showrooms in India in November or December.
Announced at the Auto Shanghai show in April 2009, Rolls-Royce Ghost is a new, smaller ultra-luxury saloon automobile, designed by Ian Cameron and engineered by Helmut Riedl, who played leading role in the development of the fifth-generation Rolls-Royce Phantom.
Rolls Royce has announced the car's launch at a time when the Indian luxury car market is still growing in spite of recession. Recently Tata also launched luxury cars Jaguar and Land Rover in India.
The international price of Rolls-Royce Ghost will be between between $250,000 and $270,000 (Rs1.2-1.3 crore). The price of Ghost in India will be further high because of taxes and import duties.
