Mahindra & Mahindra Ltd.,well known for its small Commercial Vehicles in India has brought to light the new light commercial vehicle Mahindra Gio on Wednesday.
Gio has come in two variants BSII and BSIII . BSII is priced at Rs 1.65 lakh while BSIII is priced at 1.68 Lakh. Attractively priced Gio also boasts of being the cheapest truck produced in the country till now. The new Gio has been tempered finely according to the needs of the customers. Inspite of being highly plushy ,comfortable incorporating almost all safety measures, the operating and maintenance cost of the truck is as low as a three wheeler.
Mahindra Gio has been rolled out in five snazzy shades - Peacock Blue, Royal Red, Golden Yellow, and Sporty Green .
Mahindra Gio claims to give a mileage of 27 km per litre and is accoutered with a high performance 9.1 HP Kohler engine, from Kohler, USA.
The compact truck has 0.5 ton cargo box, ensuring maximum utilization of space. Also it has been well equipped with latest technology to ride smoothly with heavy load. It has come with , dashboard mounted gear shifter and steering wheel as in cars .
Considering the discomfort in long journey's the company has made special arrangements to provide the passengers the world-class comfort with its adjustable cushioned bucket seats, roll down windows offering more ventilation and a car like Macpherson front suspension, ensuring comfortable ride and handling.
Also the leg space provided is spacious. The cabins are tall and wide enough to allow an easy entry and exit.
The company has not ignored the safety measures . The truck has been equipped with multi focal reflector halogen lights, side indicators and bigger rear view mirrors which tends to provide an unobscured visibility.
Being manufactured in Mahindra‟s Haridwar plant, Mahindra Gio at its initial states will be available only in the Western, Northern and selected Eastern states .
